...(CLAP) break!

Posted by

...as in stage direction and team huddles, we just took a break with the kids to the CITY for a much needed chafe on environ.  and wow!  we stayed in the flower district and toured both the east and west neighborhoods below 57th street. each day brought new discoveries for the kids, who had never spent more than an hour passing through any area of the city, and an awakening for the natives.

from the exquisite pastrami sandwich of Katz's to orchard street's bargain shops; nolita's eclectic mix of food and drama to the tenement museum; the westside's quirky residential to chelsea's hip restaurants and market; the lower east side's st. marks place and orpheum theatre's presentation of STOMP to the notable repertoire espanol; and of course, all that MOMA has to offer and the ICP exhibit of robert capa to the late night new orlean's style saloon of fabulous song and southern concoctions...

do we all want to abandon ship or what?

bringing this energy into perspective, the only way to go is through color.  we choose yellow as our pop against black and grey with subtle metallic that are year round faves.  whether in a textile or pillow or lamp or in the blooming forsythia and witch hazel, yellow makes us smile and lets the 'sun shine in'...so cliche.

take a look inside for a bit of delightful perspective.
